April 4th is Qingming (Tomb Sweeping) Festival, an important day for honoring departed loved ones and ancestors.
On March 31st, 2024, Bodhi Meditation Silicon Valley USA Center held a Chanting & Blessing Event. Everyone sincerely chanted to Buddha, praying for ancestors and deceased loved ones to receive blessings and illumination from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and to attain rebirth in the Pure Land.
The altar of Earth Store Bodhisattva (Ksitigarbha) was adorned with brightly lit light offerings, illuminating the names of those prayed for in the Qingming Light Offering Prayer List.
Sutra Blessings: The tomes of Bodhi Dharma School sutras contain powerful blessings from the Buddha and Grandmaster JinBodhi. Chanting with utmost sincerity before the Buddha alleviates suffering and brings auspiciousness and freedom!
During the Qingming period, the Bodhi Meditation Silicon Valley USA Center offered a series of activities. Everyone is welcome to bring their children to worship ancestors and departed loved ones together, receive the protection of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and experience peace, auspiciousness, and wisdom!
Grandmaster JinBodhi’s service of warding off evil with pink rock salt is aimed at helping everyone dispel negative energies. It is available for individuals, vehicles, or homes. Hours of operation: April 1st to 6th, 10 am to 3 pm. Please call in advance to make an appointment: (408) 843-1638.
Chanting Retreat: April 1st to 7th, 9:30am to 12:00pm
Offer lights so that our departed loved ones and ancestors may receive the guidance of Buddha’s illumination to a good place and the living may overcome obstacles and accumulate merits and virtues.
